The Decision Sciences Group of GREGHEC (HEC Paris and CNRS) is a group of researchers in Decision Theory, Behavioural Decision Making, the Foundations of Economics and the Philosophy of Economics. The group includes seasoned researchers, young researchers and doctorate students.

Our members research interests are oriented towards the following questions:
  • • how do people make decisions under uncertainty?
  • • how do they account for time in decision making?
  • • how do real people diverge from ideal economic agents?
  • • how can society's decisions be made on the basis of the preferences and beliefs of their members?

After a successful seminar series in the academic year 2007-2008 (invitees including Itzhak Gilboa, Edi Karni, Peter Klibanoff, Jean-Marc Talllon, Peter Wakker) in association with the IHPST (Univeristé Paris 1-CNRS-ENS), the group will organise a series of day-long workshops throughout 2008-2009, each centred on a theme and each regrouping reknowned experts on the theme. In parallel, the group retains its joint seminar with IHPST in Paris, and will hold an informal brown bag seminar, in which current research will be presented and discussed.
